'Tis the season!

Hello!

I pray everyone is having a wonderful fall/winter! I am very excited to share some of this football season we just closed up, and also some current family sessions I have the privilege of photographing! Lots of new things coming for ShashlyePhotography, and lots to share, for the camera doesn't stop rolling! :) So thankful and blessed to all of you that have allowed me to be a part of capturing your lives...and to those who are interested and all the emails you have been sending, thank you so much! It is a great pleasure to be blessed in photographing all of you and getting to know you....

I will be posting this weekend, so sessions to look for will be the Friesen Family, the Piedmont Cheer/Pom Session, Maternity session, 1st Birthday for Asher,  Jacob's Newborn Session, and hopefully a few of the Bomber Football season. Be sure to check back!

WELCOME to OUR NEWEST ADVENTURE!

Hi there! Long time! Been busy, working and broadening this business! WOOHOO! Big things coming! This will be the ONLY place to access most photos I share from current events! :) As I broaden this company into the field of sports and such.... Engagements | Contest Winners Shanlee & Lane

I hosted a contest a few months back entitled, "Show Your Love". I had a few people compete and actually entertain the fact that they would be winning a FREE* mini photo session of choice! With a week of "showing love" for Shashlye, we had a winner... Shanlee <3

Shanlee chose to use her session for her engagements! :) Yippee, me!!! I was ecstatic!! Two weekends back, I had the incredible opportunity of reuniting with her, and meeting her fiance, Lane! We had our session on a misty-rainy, chilly day.. but they were TROOPERS!!! :)

When conversing with Shanlee about her upcoming session, I asked about the little details about Lane and her, to better understand their love story, so I could make the most out of their session <3 Shanlee shared with me quite a few things, and I just lit up with multiple ideas and visions for this sweet couple's session... from the first time they met, then their first date ending at the bookstore, her reading SkippyJonJones and laughing hysterically together--- to Lane's romantic proposal, with the jewelry box birthday present---her ring tucked safely inside in the bottom drawer ...... <3 so sweet... 

We had such a wonderful session, despite the weather conditions.. they gave me funny looks when I had them pose in certain ways---especially laying them on the railroad tracks *wink*, even when I had them look up at me as the rain drops peirced their eyes! :) They laughed and enjoyed one another the whole time! :)  I pray I was able to unfold their story in these captured moments... I hope you enjoy, this sweet, contagiously precious couple, as much as I have!

My 1st Maternity Session | Kellen & Ashley

A HUGE THANK YOU TO THE WiNGO's! :)

I had the incredible opportunity and privilege to photograph my first Maternity Session this passed week! Thanks to an amazingly adorable couple, Kellen & Ashley Wingo! They accepted my offer of wanting to do a Portfolio Session and were exceptional participants! No matter how "kooky" the positioning or idea looked/seemed to them, they were awesome and allowed me to transform my visions into pure art in the form of a captured photograph! <3 I had such an incredible time reuniting with my long time friend, and meeting his beautiful wife, and kindling what I hope to be a long time friendship, also! I pray you all enjoy these photographs as much as I enjoyed taking them! I pour my heart into what I do, and I pray that I am able to translate my passion in the way I feel and see it for myself, for you all to enjoy just as much!

Ashley is 38 weeks, to the day, in these photographs and both, Kellen and herself, are eagerly awaiting sweet baby Jaxton Kohl! <3 She did an incredible job, and of course, looks SO GREAT!!!! :) Thank you both again, and all you fans out there.. I pray you enjoy these photographs!

I have another collage set, but I am going to wait until the Wingo's get their CD to put it up.. <3

Mini Newborn + Family | The Kings :)

I had the honor of doing a mini newborn session with sweet new baby Keaton King, 11 days young! <3 Kevin & Stacie thankfully took me up on the offer of doing a Portfolio Session and I was able to capture my 1st newborn! :) He is so amazingly precious in every way!!! :) I absolutely love newborns, something about them that is just so incredible! ah, such beautiful innocence! <3 I enjoyed reuniting and visiting with Stacie and Kevin! Such a sweet, precious family!! I hope to be able to finish our session, but if not, I still managed to snag some gems! <3 Take a look at this precious little family and beautiful baby boy! :)

My 1st Engagement + Family Session | Tre, Kelsey & Aubrey

I, Shashlye Photography, had the pleasure of photographing this adorable family on Friday last week! I apologize that I am "just now" blogging about it, but thankfully, I have been busy!! :) YAY!

Anyways, Tre and Kelsey have been together for about 7.5 years! & have a little girl, Aubrey, who is just beautiful! They thankfully heard about me from a friend, and contacted me! They informed me they were getting married very soon and needed to get invites out right away! They had their ring on order, so we weren't able to photograph with it... BUT, thankfully, I came up with a cute CrackerJack box idea, and they loved it! We had such a blast! I look forward to getting to work with them again! Congratulations, Tre & Kelsey! This is my first Engagement + Family Session, and I so I was very excited to be able to share my visions and get them out in the form of a photograph! Thanks to Tre & Kelsey for sharing this amazing spot downtown, to enhance such incredible images!!! :)

The Wilson Family | My 1st "Baby's 1st" Birthday Session.

I am so excited to share this sweet family with you all!! One, we are LONG time friends and seeing their baby girl and all her personality shine through, ahhhh what a blessing!! :) Two, getting to capture them in doing my very 1st Baby's 1st/Cake Smash was so exciting!!! I have had tons of thoughts and ideas flooding my brain for about 3 months now, and so I am very thankful to my friends for allowing me to share my creativity with them in using my heart & camera! :)
We had an incredible time yesterday with the Wilson Family as I captured their precious baby girl, Paige on her 1st birthday!! :) She did an outstanding job and was just so bright eyed and happy! I was so excited and had such a blast with this sweet family! :) Here are some sneaks from the session!! Enjoy!
